Every December, NOFPA opens its doors and its heart to foster families for a cherished Holiday Dinner. It’s a night filled with warmth, connection, and the simple joy of sharing a meal lovingly prepared by our volunteers and board members. Laughter fills the room, stories are exchanged, and for a moment, everyone gets to slow down and simply be together. As the evening comes to a close, each child is gifted a handmade stocking—carefully crafted and filled with thoughtful treats—so they leave knowing just how special they are.

Each year before Christmas, NOFPA brings the community together through the Magical Gift Program to fulfill the needs and holiday wishes of children in foster care. Every gift reflects a child’s personal request, reminding them they are seen, valued, and special—because every child carries a little magic within them.

The Magical Gift Program is made possible by the generosity of our community members, sponsors, and dedicated volunteers. Together, they ensure every child feels seen, valued, and remembered. This program brings joy, comfort, and a true sense of belonging, creating a magical holiday season for each child.
